A fantastic win by Biased Witness at Pakenham on the 17th April 2017. He has now broken his maiden status in style at his second start! Recent wins at Morphettville and new additions
It has been a busy start to the year for Sean Buckley and Ultra Racing! There have been some fantastic wins by a selection of thoroughbred horses at Morphettville including:

We have also made a significant purchase of a colt out of Savabeel at the Karaka 2016 Premier Sale at Little Avondale Stud.

Ultra Racing secures the purchase of a colt by Savabeel
Ultra Racing buys a colt by Savabeel for $775,000 at the Karaka 2016 Premier Sale at Little Avondale Stud
The colt is from unraced mare Generous Nature and is a full-brother to the Group II winner Savvy Nature. Toby Koenig went to New Zealand to successfully secure the sale, which Sean Buckley and the entire Ultra Group is thrilled about.
Toby Koenig spoke to NZ Racing News and said:
“We have always been keen on the Savabeels, having bought a number of them through this sale,” he said.
“Their racetrack performance been outstanding and you can see the fierce competition every time a yearling by him steps into the ring. We’ve managed to secure a pair of superb colts and we’re very happy to be taking them home to Australia.”

Defiant Angel wins the Quayclean Handicap at Morphettville
Defiant Angel finished 1st at the Quayclean Handicap (1600m) at Morphettville on the 2nd January 2016. A great start to the year for the 6YO, ridden well by Ms E Finnegan, with a prize of $32,000. It has been a promising start to 2016 for Sean Buckley and the Ultra Thoroughbreds team.
Coerced Witness wins Campolina Stud Handicap (1515m)
Coerced Witness won the Campolina Stud Handicap at Morphettville on the 2nd January 2016. She raced well from the start ridden by jockey Ms E Finnegan, and came from 3rd on the turn at latest outing to record a great win with prize money of $29,000.

This weekend we had several horses running at various locations:

– Tear Gas @ Doomben Race 3, 2:48pm
– Held Hostage @ Morphettville Race 8, 5:48pm
– Coerced Witness @ Morphettville Race 1, 1:08pm
– Time Walker @ Beaumont Race 7, 5:44pm
– Defiant Angel made a massive run for 2nd at Flemington and will be looking for some good racing over the summer.
– Coerced Witness finished 5th and we are excited by the 3yo filly and her potential looking ahead
– Tear Gas ran an impressive 5th and will be looking to improve next start.
– Time Walker flashed home for an exciting 3rd at Beaumont and will look for longer distances over the coming weeks.
